Man’s ‘impossible’ dream now a reality after $2.5m Lotto win

A young man’s dream of buying his own home is now reality after winning $2.5 million in this weekend’s TattsLotto.

The lucky winner, from Maldon in regional Victoria, held one of four division one entries in the TattsLotto draw 4189 on Saturday, September 11 – taking home $2.5 million each.

The Maldon man told officials from The Lott this morning that he discovered his multi-millionaire status on Saturday night and was still reeling from the life-changing news.

“I was just watching some TV with my family when I checked my ticket on The Lott app and that’s when I realised I’d won division one,” the excited winner told The Lott.

“I instantly started shaking! I felt so nervous. I just couldn’t believe it!”

The young man screamed for his parents to check the ticket and they soon confirmed he had won.

“We celebrated that night with a few drinks. It was really good,” he said.

When asked how he planned to spend his lottery winnings, the young multi-millionaire said he would buy himself a home of his own.

“I think the first thing I will do is buy myself a home,” said the ecstatic winner, who explained the idea of buying his own home had seemed impossible until now.
