A Brisbane tradie was working on a roof this morning when he discovered he’d become an overnight multi-millionaire.

The lucky winner held one of the two division one winning entries in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw 4207, with each player scoring $3,001,122.85.

When an official from The Lott phoned the tradie this morning to share the life-changing news, the man explained he was working on the roof and would have to first climb down.

“Holy sh*t!” he managed to say eventually.

“I feel like I’m about to faint. I’m shaking. I think I’m going to cry,” he added.

The excited winner told lottery officials that he had no idea he had won the lottery and planned to head straight home to tell his wife.

“I’m going to have to go home and tell the missus. She’s not going to believe it!” he laughed.

With $3 million about to hit his bank account, the Brisbane tradie was reeling from the news and wasn’t quite sure how he would spend his newfound fortune.

“I’d say we’ll pay off our mortgage to begin with,” the Queenslander explained.
