The numbers have been drawn for the second biggest Powerball jackpot of the year.

A whopping $60 million was up for grabs in tonight's Powerball draw with players no doubt eagerly checking their tickets after the balls dropped into place.

The $60 million jackpot for Powerball draw 1419 is the second biggest windfall offered by any Australian lottery game so far this year — second only to last month's $100 million win which saw one lucky man take out the lot.

If you're hoping to be Australia's next big millionaire it's time to see if you struck gold with Thursday night's winning numbers, which are: 19, 14, 18, 22, 16, 4, 33.

The lucky Powerball number is: 18.

Powerball jackpots to $100 million next week

Powerball jackpotted to the $60 million prize after no ticket won last week's $40 million draw. And once again no one has picked the winning combination of numbers meaning the top prize will jackpot to an even bigger offering of $100 million next week – only the seventh time in the game’s 27-year history that it has offered $100 million.

Upcoming jackpot among some of the biggest

According to The Lott, a total of 303 millionaires were created by division one wins in Australia in the last financial year – the equivalent of almost one a day.

In 2022, 22 Powerball division one winning entries across Australia pocketed more than $764.39 million in prize money. During this time, Powerball offered a $160 million jackpot – the biggest prize ever offered by any Australian lottery game – that was won by three division one winning entries.

A Sydney dad took out last month's mega $100 million Powerball win. The win made him Australia’s second-biggest lottery winner and the ninth Powerball division one winner of 2023. Only one other Australian lottery player has won more than the Western Sydney resident – a Sydney nurse who scored more than $107 million in January 2019.

The chances of claiming a Division One Powerball prize are about 134.5 million to one. Matt Hart from The Lott previously revealed to Yahoo News Australia the popular household item many winners can't wait to snap up after collecting their windfall — and it might surprise you.
