This is the shocking moment a Russian influencer slices open a spicy sausage and pulls out a face mask.

Influencer ‘Kolia Kolpino’ shared the clip on his TikTok page where he boasts 107,000 followers.

The footage has since gone viral with over 8 million views since being shared on the social media platform on Monday.

The influencer, who comes from the Russian city of Saint Petersburg, claimed he found the face mask inside the sausage he bought from an unnamed store.

“I sat down this morning to have breakfast and feed the cat with the sausage I bought yesterday," he says in the footage.

"I started to cut it and at first I didn't understand what was happening. There was something horrible inside. I then realised what it was."

He then cuts open the sausage and pulls out a discoloured mask that had apparently been inside the meat for some time.

It is unclear how the mask ended up inside the sausage and if the influencer plans to report the incident to the local authorities.

Many of his followers took the video seriously and said he should report the matter, however others said he could have placed the mask inside himself because the video starts with the sausage already sliced near one end.

"That must be a doctor's sausage!" one person commented.

"It's good that you only found a mask, but what if the owner was also inside the sausage?" another person wrote.
