Woolworths adds 40 new suburbs to 60-minute delivery service - is yours on the list?
Woolworths shoppers in Melbourne can now have groceries delivered to their door in under an hour, with the introduction of the supermarket's latest Metro60 service.
The supermarket giant has announced the roll-out of its Metro60 "under 60 minute" grocery delivery service following a successful trial in Sydney last month.
Available exclusively through the new Metro60 app and fulfilled through Woolworths Metro stores, the delivery option will bring time-poor customers a convenient way to shop.
Woolies customers can choose from more than 4,000 everyday products across various categories, including ready-to-eat meals, fruit, meat, organic and plant-based items, dairy, pet, health, flowers and baby products.

Shoppers will also enjoy the convenience of having one of Woolies' hot roast chooks or freshly-made sushi only a couple of clicks away.
Much like food delivery app Uber Eats and Menulog, customers can track the status of their order in real time.

Order chooks, artisan breads, sushi and more
Woolworths Chief Transformation Officer, Von Ingram, said that the supermarket is excited to bring the Metro60 service to its Melbourne customers after a successful six-week trial in Sydney.
"Metro60 is an easy way to shop the best of the range from your local Metro store, delivered to your door in 60 minutes," said Mr Ingram.
"So far we've seen our customers enjoy our range of fresh sushi and hot roast chickens, artisan breads, fruit and veg and thousands of other fresh essentials," he said.
All Metro60 customers will receive free delivery on their first three orders, then a flat $5 delivery charge will be applied to orders, with a minimum $20 spend.
Woolies customers can take advantage of the new rapid delivery service exclusively using the Metro60 app, which is available for free via the App Store and Google Play.
