'Lizard Man' planned Shelsea Schillings' Gold Coast murder: report

An ex-bikie found dead alongside a young woman with whom he had been in a turbulent relationship plotted her murder, a Queensland newspaper claims.

The Gold Coast Bulletin reports police sources have indicated the deaths of Bronson Ellery and Shelsea Schilling are being treated like a murder investigation, although officers are keeping their cards close to their chests.

In the week since the pair was found dead in a Gold Coast apartment, there has been rampant speculation on what happened to the man called the 'Lizard Man’ for his distinctive facial tattoos and the young woman found dead alongside him.

According to the latest report, sources have suggested an apology note was written to Ms Schilling’s parents, and the positioning of guns in the apartment suggested a planned killing by Ellery.

“It clearly was a murder investigation. He had laid out all his guns. He’s bashed her senseless,” a source was quoted as saying.

The report also suggests Ms Schillings had taken refuge with a domestic violence service and a friend after her relationship with Ellery deteriorated and turned violent as his drug use increased.

It said she had gone so far as to cut off her long hair to change her appearance.

Previous claims from those close to the Ellery and Schillings had previously suggested the deaths might have been due to a suicide-pact

Later, another woman came forward who claimed she saw Ellery killing the 20-year-old in the Southport apartment.

Lisa Searing from Gold Coast law firm Buckland Allen, who is representing the woman, has told Yahoo7 that police believed her client had relevant information.

Queensland Police said the deaths were not being treated as suspicious, but have not confirmed how they happened.

Ms Schilling’s mother has also claimed Ellery was responsible for her death.

“B****d had no life, took his and my baby girl. Rott in hell Bronson. Let my angle be safe, (sic),” Ms Mobbs wrote on Facebook.

It has also been revealed Ms Schilling penned a poem suggesting Ellery would be responsible for her death, while reports have also emerged the young woman had been in hiding out of fear for the ex-Bandido’s bikie associate with whom she had been involved.

Ellery and Schillings were found dead at abut 4.40pm on Friday, November 11.
