Father allegedly kicked, threw baby daughter after she 'picked up remote'
A father of four is in a jail cell and will face court after he allegedly attacked his 18-month-old daughter in Sydney's west.
The 28-year-old man, who can't be identified, allegedly attacked the little girl after she picked up a TV remote at their Austral home. His other children were in the room during the alleged assault.
The little girl's uncle said the father "walked over and kicked her and then picked her up, shouting at her and calling her names and shaking her then threw her".
"(It's) pretty disgusting," he said.
"I don't even know what was going through his head. It's just not human. It's your own daughter, like you know, you couldn't even do that to an animal or something.
"They depend on you, so they're helpless."

Family members are astonished the child wasn't more seriously injured after video of the assault was secretly recorded.
The baby, who was born prematurely, is currently recovering in Liverpool Hospital.
Despite the horrific, repeated blows to her head, doctors don't believe the little girl will have any long term physical injuries.
She has been in the care of specialists at the hospital for the past two weeks and is currently in a stable condition.
The little girl and her siblings are now in foster care.
Their father will remain behind bars until he returns to court next month.
