Mum fumes after son is given 'horrible' award by teacher

A frustrated mum is speaking out after her son’s teacher presented him with a “horrible” award, leaving him devastated.

Patricia Buckley, from the US, said she knew something was wrong as soon as she picked up her son Bradley from his junior high school last week.

"Balled up like he was ashamed," she described the young man to local publication WAPT.

It was then he told her about the certificate labelled “The ‘zero’ award”.

"It’s impossible to be me. Don’t try. You’ll never find a solution," it reads.

Ms Buckley said she doesn’t understand what the award means.

"That's why I called the superintendent's office to find out," she told WAPT.

"I think it was so horrible for him to get this award.

"I'm going to do what I can do for this to never happen again. Not just to Bradley, but any child."

The mum said she’s now considering moving her son to another school.

School officials did not immediately respond to the publication.

Dad's fiery note to school over 'irritating' rule

The incident comes after a frustrated dad hit out at his daughter’s school after staff allegedly claimed the child’s food is unhealthy.

The UK-based dad said the constant remarks are "irritating" and argued it should be parents who decide what their children eat.

He revealed on TikTok that he had attached a label to the inside of his daughter’s lunch box to try and squash the issue.

"Welcome to Isabelle's lunchbox," it reads.

"We are aware of the contents of this box and are happy for Isabelle to eat whatever she wants."

Preschooler's note prompts 'mortifying' text message

Last month, a mum was mortified after her daughter Ruby gave her preschool teacher an adults-only card.

Brinn Williams said she didn’t think anything of the creative card the young girl made until the teacher sent her an awkward text.

The colourful card Ruby grabbed from her mum's desk had the words "a best friend you can have sex with" written across the front.

And on the inside it said, "How great is that?"
