Coles and DoorDash delivering free flowers for Mother's Day - but you'd better be quick
Here's how to get a $30 bunch of flowers delivered to your mum this weekend for free.
For those in need of a last-minute Mother's Day gift, Coles and DoorDash have partnered to give away fresh flowers and potted plants valued at $30 each, delivered for free to a loved one's doorstep.
To claim the offer, customers need to download the DoorDash app, select their local Coles store, choose some florals, and apply the promo code "MOTHERSDAY" at checkout. The offer runs May 13 to 14 and no minimum spend is required, but there is a limit of one gift per customer.
Once the order is confirmed, a DoorDash employee will collect the selected bouquet, plant or single stem from Coles and deliver it within 45 minutes. The catch? There are only 5,000 up for grabs.
Rebecca Burrows, General Manager for DoorDash Australia, explains the promotion was inspired by a desire to do something special in celebration of the mums, mums-to-be and motherly figures who make a difference in our lives.
"Our partnership with Coles enables us to give back to our customers and their loved ones, so we're thrilled to be able to spread joy and happiness through this Mother's Day giveaway," she said.

Coles responds to Mother's Day gift aisle backlash
The flower giveaway comes after Coles apologised for a tone-deaf Mother's Day display spotted in an Adelaide store. Among gift suggestions for mums were cleaning products and sanitary items, which struck customers as sexist and out of touch with modern values.
A spokesperson for the retailer confirmed to Yahoo that the items have since been moved. "We are grateful this has been drawn to our attention and our Coles team in Adelaide apologises for this error," the spokesperson said. "This was an unintentional human error where recently discontinued products, including sanitary and cleaning supplies were placed along the seasonal 'flex aisle'."
"Celebrating Mothers and Mother figures is such an important occasion at Coles and we are committed to providing the best value and range of gifts to make this weekend extra special," they added. "We wish for all Mums and Mums-to-be and those who are remembering their mothers this weekend to have a memorable and special day."
