Bunnings' letterbox gift for man with 'awesome' Christmas lights
A Gold Coast man has given a massive shout out to his local Bunnings team on social media for the thoughtful surprise in his letterbox on Monday.
“I would love to give a big shout out to Bunnings Warehouse Pimpama and the staff member who put this in our mail box for our Christmas light display on Adelaide Crescent, Ormeau Hills. You are truly an amazing person,” wrote the Ormeau Hills man on a popular Facebook page.
Alongside the post, the man shared two photos of the sweet note and $10 Bunnings gift card he received in the letterbox.
The generous note reads: “Our store has nominated your house as being Xmas awesome! Here is a gift to say ‘well done’. Thank you for spreading joy in our community.”
The note was signed from the man’s “friends at Bunnings Pimpama” and was sealed in an envelope which read: “Merry Christmas!”
Bunnings encourage team to spread some joy this Christmas
Ryan Baker, Bunnings General Manager of Operations, told Yahoo News Australia this Christmas Bunnings teams were encouraged to get out into their local community and nominate houses that are "decked out in lights".
"After another difficult year for many, we wanted to celebrate those who are spreading some joy in their neighbourhood with a little surprise from their local Bunnings team," said Mr Baker.
"We hope this brings a few smiles to people who have gone all out with their decorating this year," he added.
