Aldi cleaning products named best in Australia

Several Aldi cleaning products have been named the best in Australia in Canstar Blue's latest Most Satisfied Customer Awards, beating even some of the big-name brands being sold at Woolworths and Coles.

Aldi took multiple top spots in different categories, with the supermarket's Power Force disinfectant, toilet cleaner and bleach bagging five stars each for overall satisfaction, value for money and packaging design.

Aldi Australia Cleaning Buying Director David Reid said Aldi is proud of this achievement.

"We are very excited that our range of Power Force cleaning products has been recognised in these awards," Reid said in a statement.

"We're committed to providing Australians with the highest quality products for the lowest prices possible, so we're both proud and delighted that our customers are loving these products," he continued.

Second year in a row

This is the second year in a row Aldi's affordable Power Force toilet cleaner and bleach have bagged the top prize in their respective categories.

Aldi also topped the dishwashing line categories for Best Dishwashing Liquid and Best Dishwashing Detergent, with its Unamax, Tandil and Logix lines.

"Consumers have rated Aldi king of the kitchen sink! The supermarket's Unamat and Tandil Ultra brands wiped out the competition with five stars for final result, effectiveness, and ease of use; with Unamat additionally rating best for value for money and overall satisfaction," the Canstar review reads.

Logix, Aldi's dishwashing detergent, also rated the top spot among Aussie consumers for the second consecutive year, earning five stars for final result, ease of use, value for money and overall satisfaction.

The German-owned supermarket also topped the air freshener category with its 250g Purewick Air Freshener.

Other winning products

In terms of other cleaning products, Strike wiped the competition in the bathroom cleaner category, while Bosistos, which can be purchased at Woolworths, was named the best floor cleaning product overall.

"Bosisto's has just one floor cleaner in its range, retailing for $6. It's suitable for sealed wooden floors and can alternatively be used in bathrooms, kitchens, and other surfaces," the Canstar review noted.

For laundry needs, Radiant laundry liquid and Duo laundry powder topped the list for consumers, with Aldi's Almat and Trimat taking second and third place in each category respectively.

Earlier this month, the supermarket chain also outperformed its competitors after it was named Roy Morgan's Supermarket of the Year for the second year in a row, cementing it as one of the most trusted brands in Australia.
