Woman viciously attacked by kangaroo on the Gold Coast
A woman has suffered horrific injuries after she was viciously attacked by a kangaroo in Queensland.
Queensland Ambulance were called to Hope Island, a suburb on the Gold Coast, about 11.30am after the attack on The Parkway.
The woman, in her 40s, was treated for lacerations to her stomach, back, arms and legs and is in a stable condition.
Queensland Ambulance said the woman’s injuries were non-life threatening and she was not transported to hospital.
The attack comes after a 52-year-old was taken to hospital following an incident involving a kangaroo on a Sydney golf course.
Paramedics were called to Riverside Oaks Golf Resort in Cattai in Sydney’s north-west last month after the man suffered lacerations to his thigh, face and arms.
Wildlife experts said it was important to remember kangaroos were wild animals and could do a lot of damage in a fight.
