Man, 52, attacked by kangaroo on Sydney golf course

A man has been attacked by a kangaroo on a golf course in Sydney’s north-west.

It happened on Wednesday afternoon at the Riverside Oaks Golf Resort in Cattai.

Paramedics were called to the golf course just after 1pm when they found a 52-year-old man with lacerations to his thigh, face and arms.

The golf course is famous for its group of eastern grey kangaroos.

The man was given first aid at the course then transferred to Westmead Hospital, where he is in a stable condition.

Wildlife experts say it is important to remember than kangaroos are wild animals – even ones that reside on a golf course – and can do a lot of damage in a fight.
