Wild brawl filmed outside Melbourne school in front of kids

A wild brawl erupted outside a Melbourne school on Tuesday in front of horrified high school students.

Two male drivers were filmed throwing punches at each other for several minutes in the middle of a road in Melton, in the city’s west, as parents arrived for school pick-up.

Footage published by Nine News shows a shirtless man confront the driver of a Nissan Navara as children sit inside.

The shirtless man then allegedly smashes the ute’s windshield with a wooden stake and shoves it into the driver’s seat.

The driver of the Nissan jumps out of his car and charges toward the younger man before the pair exchange blows while spilling into a busy street, bringing traffic to a halt.

Stunned students watched on as the brutal fight unfolded in front of them.

One mum can be seen comforting her upset child.

“I didn’t know what to do. I had kids in my car and they started yelling,” a panicked dad told Nine News.

Police eventually broke up the brawl and arrested the shirtless man.

Officers said the 21-year-old allegedly smashed the windscreen of a car around 3.30pm, causing three other vehicles to collide nose to tail.

“The driver of the damaged car got out of the vehicle and was involved in a physical altercation with the offender,” Victoria Police said in a statement.

No one was seriously injured.

The 21-year-old has been charged with several offences including reckless conduct endangering life, affray and assault with a weapon.

He will appear in court on Wednesday.
