Police met with 'wall of silence' from person of interest in case of missing Melbourne mum

A key person of interest in the case of missing Melbourne mother Karen Ristevski has reportedly stopped cooperating with police, who said they have been met with a “sudden wall of silence”.

Mrs Ristevski, 47, disappeared from her Avondale Heights home on June 29 when she allegedly went out for some fresh air after a heated discussion with her husband.

Police have not detailed who the persons of interest are and have not identified the silent suspect.

On Wednesday morning, exactly four weeks since Mrs Ristevski’s disappearance, authorities set up an information caravan in Avondale Heights near her home.

Anthony Rickard - the son of Mrs Ristevski's husband, Borce - was earlier this month questioned over his stepmother's disappearance, and denied killing her despite feeling angry over a family dispute.

Borce was the last person to see his wife alive, and although he claims she left the house to clear her head after a heated argument, security cameras at the home did not catch her leaving the property.

The family reportedly had an ongoing conflict and long-term financial stress.

The mother of one has not used her mobile phone or touched her bank account since she went missing.

Police will turn to door knocking and handing out flyers in the area to spark any new leads in the missing persons case.
