All-female brawl erupts in McDonalds in Victoria
Three women have been charged over a sickening all-female brawl at a McDonald’s in Victoria.
Exclusive pictures show the moment the violence erupted at Thomastown and how it left two other women needing urgent help from paramedics.
It was 2am yesterday as customers were being served. The victim in white is pushed by one woman, but doesn’t realise the real threat is right behind her.
That woman grabs her hair, drags her backwards to the ground and as the victim’s friend steps in to help, she too is attacked, punched in the head before a brawl erupts.
With fists flying and the first woman still on the ground, her attacker kicks and punches her, and pulls her hair.
But it isn’t over yet.
The victim in black is on her knees, a seeming invitation for her attacker’s most brutal onslaught yet, six vicious punches to the head.
Stop! One Punch Can Kill campaigner Caterina Politi said the people the video was horrific to see.
“They’re worse than animals … Oh my god,” she said.
“They (women) can be the aggressors, as well as being victims, as we know... Women against women ... It’s just horrific to see.”
An ambulance was also called to treat the victims, aged 20 and 23.
One was so dazed she collapsed soon after the fight.
Even though it was two in the morning, the McDonald’s was busy when the brawl erupted. Seven News has been told it’s often overrun by hoons who take part in illegal street racing in the northern suburbs.
Called Northern Skids, the events attract hundreds to industrial areas.
It is believed one gathering happened on Monday night before the brawl.
“It’s a matter of millimetres between living and dying … to see someone keep punching someone who’s on the ground and can’t really defend themselves … that’s nothing to be proud of,” Ms Politi said.
Police acted quickly.
This morning in Melton they arrested and charged three women, aged 19, 20 and 21 with affray, intentionally and recklessly causing injury, and unlawful assault.
