The Sydney beach suburb where houses cost less than $1 million

It may be hard to believe, but there is a beachside suburb in Sydney where you can still buy a property for less than a seven-figure sum.

Bundeena, south of Sydney’s CBD, but has a median house price of less than $1 million, according to Domain.com.au.

The current median price is $955,000. Domain currently has 66 properties listed in the area for less than $1 million.

Ray White’s Shellie Boswell said $1 million can buy a four-bedroom house and while it might not have a view of the water, “you won’t be far from the beach”.

For $200,000 more, that should fetch a view of the surf and the sand.

She added the suburb offers a different lifestyle – working in the city, but feeling like you’re in a holiday home.

There is a catch though: Bundeena is half-an-hour’s drive from Sydney’s CBD.
