Suburb where $30 million Oz Lotto ticket was purchased revealed

The hunt is still on for the sole winner of Tuesday night's $30 million Oz Lotto jackpot.

Lottery officials can now reveal the ticket was purchased in Indooroopilly in Brisbane's south after failing to hear from the mystery player for over 36 hours.

The winning ticket was bought at Metro News on 1st at the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre.

The winning numbers for Oz Lotto draw 1481 were 20, 22, 2, 17, 41, 31, 29, while the supplementary numbers were 7, 18 and 36.

"One player is walking around completely oblivious to the fact their life has changed!” The Lott spokesperson James Eddy said.

Senior staff member Carol Hinds at the store which sold the ticket said all her customers "will be so excited" with the revelation.

And while lottery officials are eager to unite the player with their gargantuan winnings, Queenslanders have seven years to claim their prize.

Last month a Sydney winner of a $1.1 million Lotto prize took more than a week to collect his prize, even though he knew all about it.

“I was just taking my time before coming and claiming the prize. I needed time to let it sink in," he admitted.

"Since last week, I’ve been doing quite a bit of calculation about what I’ll do with the prize."

Mr Eddy said there's a high chance the Oz Lotto winner is "oblivious" to their windfall.

“Imagine discovering you’re suddenly a multi-millionaire! You could immediately retire, take the trip of your dreams or spoil those nearest and dearest to you," he said.

“We are in the business of paying prizes and we can’t wait to unite these winners with their windfalls, so we urge all players to check their tickets!"
