Shopper's horrible find returning to car at Sydney mall: 'Serious health hazard'

The passerby couldn't believe his eyes, or nose, when passing the car in northwest Sydney.

There's always some risk involved with leaving your car in a shopping centre car park — a bump or scratch is likely.

Yet for one motorist, the state in which they found their car after returning from their shopping excursion is a little hard to believe, and even more unpleasant to clean up.

On Thursday a white Audi claimed pride of place between a pillar and supermarket trolley reserve, seperate from other parked cars at West Ryde Marketplace in northwest Sydney. However unbeknown to the driver, they had parked directly under a damaged waste pipe with their car in the firing line.

The horrible find can be seen on the white Audi, which is covered with brown streaks after a sewage pipe above the car leaked.

"Leave your car for 20 minutes and come back to it covered in well.. um sh*t," one passer-by wrote online.

The front of the car was streaked with brown muck as was the floor in front of the vehicle, leaving a puddle of liquid and no doubt a putrid smell.

Centre management kept 'washing the car off'

According to the post online, shopping centre management were notified of the issue and continuously cleaned the car every time a fresh wave of liquid fell from the burst pipe.

"I could see the pipe above leaking every time a toilet was flushed," the passer-by wrote in response to another online, who questioned if it was a targeted attack.

"They were getting it fixed and kept washing the car off after each dump."

The comment section was quickly filled to the brim with poop-tastic puns and people wincing at the motorist's misfortune, while others were concerned for the car's paint job and the health risk associated with the issue.

"This is a health hazard.. seriously," one person wrote – a sentiment shared by many.

A second picture was later shared which showed a now empty car park space with the pipe fixed, confirming the car had since been cleaned.
