WATCH: Monkey punches little girl in face at zoo
An unruly primate eager for a snack has taken its anger out on a young girl at a zoo in China.
Shocking footage shows a monkey feeding from the hand of a woman as her young daughter eagerly watches on.
As the woman pulls back her hand slightly to restrict the consumption of food, the monkey retaliates, striking the girl square in the face.
The sheer force of the punch sends her tumbling backwards down two stone steps.
Several Chinese TV stations reported the pair had been teasing the monkey shortly before the clip began.
Its not the first time primates have stuck up for themselves at a zoo, following a group of squirrel monkeys who fought off thieves at Wellington Zoo in April.
