Man pinned between cars in wild road rage fight caught on camera

The man in his 40s was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries after the brazen confrontation.

Shocking video has emerged showing the moment a man was crushed between two cars during an aggressive road rage incident in Perth over the weekend.

The footage shows a man in his 40s wearing a yellow hi-vis shirt pinned between a white sedan and a blue Hyundai i30 that was being driven by a female learner driver, who appears to accelerate into him.

The incident occurred in the affluent western suburb of Nedlands at around 1pm on Saturday in front of shocked witnesses who rushed to the scene to aid the injured man. According to police, the altercation began after a minor crash that escalated into a physical fight between three men before one was pinned between two vehicles, 7News reported.

In the video, the three men, two wearing hi-vis, can be seen throwing punches in the middle of the road as surrounding cars come to a halt. Suddenly, the Hyundai driver, a 27-year-old woman, nudges forward in the vehicle closing the gap and trapping the man wearing the yellow hi-vis between her vehicle and the rear of the car in front.

She eventually reverses releasing the 48-year-old who can be seen limping away. The injured man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious leg injuries.

The female driver allegedly fled the scene but was later caught by police.

WA Police told Yahoo News Australia the 27-year-old woman was charged with one count of a driver failing to stop and not ensuring assistance received after an incident occasioning bodily harm, as well as one count of failing to report the incident. She is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 21 August 2023.
