Gang member jailed for kidnapping, raping man in ‘horrific ordeal’

A man will serve 18 years’ jail for kidnapping and raping a man over a period of 10 hours.

Kamil Lesiak, 25, was sentenced in Liverpool Crown Court, in England, on Tuesday after being found guilty of false imprisonment, assault causing actual bodily harm, rape and causing a man to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.

Lesiak, and three other people, kidnapped a 27-year-old man in November 2015, keeping him against his will for around 10 hours.

Two of them, Lesiak and Daniel Misiolek, subjected him to a series of physical and sexual assaults in that time. Misiolek was jailed for life in September 2016.

The court heard the pair kidnapped the man, bundled him into a taxi and took him to a home to someone who knew Misiolek, Metro reported. There they stripped him naked, beat him, urinated on him and made him perform degrading sexual acts on them and himself.

He was bound by his ankles and wrists.

Detective Sergeant Jamie Dean said after sentencing the victim of Lesiak and the other offenders’ crimes suffered through a “horrific ordeal” which was filmed on a mobile phone by Awna Baszak.

Baszak is currently serving 12 years’ jail after being sentenced in 2016. Dagmara Szary, who was also with the group, was jailed for 15 months after being convicted of kidnapping.

“It is pleasing to see this highly disturbing case brought to a full conclusion, and Lesiak facing the consequences of his appalling violence and abuse in 2015,” Detective Sergeant Dean said.

“The courage the victim has shown during the first trial and in the years since have ensured that four people have now been brought to justice, and hopefully provided some comfort when coming to terms with what happened.”
