'I would like to unsee this': Reporter's unusual grooming method caught on live TV

A news reporter in Syria was caught on live TV grooming his hair by repeatedly spitting into his palm and slicking it back, unaware the camera was rolling.

The US war correspondent’s unusual last-minute hair hack was broadcast live on Friday as the NBC’s shocked viewers watched the reporter twice spitting into his palm and slicking back his hair.

News anchor Ali Velshi was in the MSNBC studio reporting on the defeat of ISIS caliphate in Syria when he introduced reporter Matt Bradley live from the Middle East.

“Matt, what’s the situation for you,” Velshi asked as Bradley appeared on screen, spitting into one hand then using the other to slick back his hair, not realising he was crossing back to the studio.

Velshi waited for a response from the corespondent but after several moments of silence, he told viewers: “We do not have Matt, we will come back to him as we get him.”

Californian actress and writer Valerie Breiman was one of the thousands who saw the reporter’s mishap.

She tweeted a recording of the live broadcast, saying: “THIS JUST HAPPENED LIVE!!!”

Twitter went into a frenzy with many people expressing their disgust at the reporter’s actions.

I would like to unsee this,” one Twitter user said.

Just threw up in my mouth a little bit,” a second person said.

A third questioned the reporter’s priorities, saying: “The man’s in a war zone and he is worried about his hair.”

YUCK! No handshakes or nothing from this dude, EVER (sic),” a fourth person added.
