Irate Audi driver's reaction to parking ticket caught on camera
An irate motorist's angry reaction to receiving a parking ticket has been labelled "arrogant" and an "expensive temper tantrum" by Twitter users.
A short clip uploaded online shows a driver rip the fine off his windscreen on Saturday evening in Manchester's city centre, before tossing the paper in the direction of a parking attendant and getting into his car.
The man's Audi can be seen in the video parked on double yellow lines, next to a cycle lane. The car is also sitting partially over the pavement.
Following the driver's reaction, the warden moves onto the road and proceeds to take pictures of the Audi.
The driver seemingly blinded by his anger, pulls out from his pavement park and nearly collides with another car.
Fortunately the passing car stops in time before the irate man speeds off.
“As I stopped to see the dangerous and inconsiderate parking getting the ticket it deserves, a rare event in London, the driver appeared and ripped the ticket from under his windscreen wiper," the witness who filmed the footage told the Manchester Evening News.
The witness told the publication that the attendant remained calm following the incident, explaining they went to check on him afterwards.
"It’s a pretty awful way to be treated when doing your job," the witness said.
The backlash to the fine has been viewed more than 30,000 times since it was shared online - with many people appalled by the driver's behaviour.
"That's an. Unbelievable level of arrogance," a person wrote.
While another user asked: "Why is he so angry ? It's his own fault."
"Blimey someone needs a juice box," one Twitter user joked.
