'My worst nightmare': Elderly man's disturbing find in his bathroom toilet

A Queensland resident got a shock when he found out he was sharing his bathroom with an uninvited guest.

Andrew’s Snake Removal was called out to an elderly man’s home after he lifted up his toilet lid and found a snake curled up inside.

Snake catcher Andrew said the harmless python most found its way into the toilet through an unsealed drain.

“Believe it or not this actually happens more often than you think,” Andrew said in a Facebook post.

Python still lurking

Although the python isn’t venomous, unfortunately for the resident by the time Andrew had arrived it had disappeared.

“This guy had gone back up the S bend when I arrived, so it's most likely still in there somewhere and just have to wait for it to show itself again,” he said.

Not surprisingly the resident was not too keen on using his toilet any time soon.

“Obviously gave the poor old resident a fright and he's not too keen on using the toilet until it's out,” Andrew wrote.

Social media has reacted with most people sympathising with the home owner, describing the incident as “my worst nightmare”.

“No way I would be using the toilet,” one person responded.

“My biggest fear in life is this... and that I get bitten on the butt,” another social media user added.
