Passenger slammed over 'freakout' on plane: 'We're about to fight'

A plane passenger’s “freakout” after a flight attendant reportedly asked her to remove her dog from her lap has gone viral.

The shocking confrontation occurred on a flight from Atlanta to New York City on Wednesday morning, local media reports.

Footage of the woman’s tantrum was captured by horrified fellow passengers before being posted to Reddit, where it has racked up more than 6,000 comments.

The clip, titled “airport freakout”, shows the woman, who is dressed in black and sporting pigtails, arguing with a Delta Airlines flight attendant trying to escort her off the plane.

“Grab your stuff and come with me ma’am, I’m not going to ask you again,” the airline worker can be heard saying.

“On no, no, no honey we’re about to fight,” the woman responds after asking if they were going to put her on another flight.

“My dog was sitting on my lap, I put him in the bag, he’s in the bag!” she continues.

In what appears to be an attempt to defuse the situation, the flight attendant tells the woman they will refund her ticket and attempts to remove her once again.

“Because you couldn’t let my dog sit on my f***ing lap!” she yells while gathering her belongings.

Woman throws bottle at passenger

Seconds later, another passenger can be heard telling the woman to “get off the plane”, prompting her to turn around and throw a water bottle at them, much to the horror of others onboard who gasped in shock.

“I am! Turn your f***ing phone off!” the woman shouts before a second flight attendant steps in.

“Anybody can record anything,” the Delta staffer says before pointing out that she just “struck a passenger with a bottle”.

“There’s rules on a plane, dogs stay in the kennel,” he says as the woman continues her expletive-ridden tirade.

“Nobody acting this way flies on a flight with us.”

The footage ends with the woman hitting another passenger as she storms toward the plane’s front door with her luggage in hand.

Atlanta police confirmed to Daily Mail that they were called to the scene but no arrests were made following the incident.

A spokesperson for Delta Airlines told Metro.co.uk it has “zero tolerance for this kind of behaviour on our aircraft and in our airports.”

“Nothing is more important than the safety and security of our people and customers.”

'Acting like a first grader'

Numerous Redditors have praised the flight attendants involved for their “calm” demeanour, with others mocked the “crazy” woman.

“She ain’t flying nowhere after that. Enjoy taking a Greyhound to New York,” one person wrote.

“I love how she’s wearing pig tails and acting like a first grader,” another said.

“That dude was such a boss. Calm, cool, and collected the whole time and got her off the plane,” a third commented.

“This is what happens when someone has never been told no their entire life,” someone else wrote.
