Aussies urged to check tickets as $60m Powerball results revealed

The winning numbers of the $60 million Powerball jackpot have been revealed as Aussies are urged to check their tickets.

Those vying for the life-changing prize will have to have the numbers 18, 1, 12, 10, 27, 20, 11 and the all-important Powerball number 20.

The numbers for draw 1244 were picked at 8.30pm AEST on Thursday March 19.

Thursday was the sixth Powerball draw in a row after no one entry held all the seven winning numbers and the all-important Powerball number needed to deliver division one.

To win the entire $60 million you need to match all seven numbers along with the Powerball number.

So far this year, Powerball has only crowned one division one winner – a Caloundra woman who pocketed $60 million and declared she wouldn’t be going back to work ever again.

The balls are numbered from 1 to 35 while the Powerball is numbered from 1 to 20.

However, even if you don’t match all the numbers you can still walk away with some winnings.

A division two win requires you matching all seven numbers without the Powerball.

Last week’s draw saw five division two winners take home $107,856.40 each.

Match six numbers with the Powerball and you can take home a division three prize.
