Maid jailed for live-streaming as she bathed employer's children

An Indonesian maid who live-streamed while bathing her employer's children without their consent has been jailed for three months.

Yuni Kristiana, a 28-year-old domestic helper living in Hong Kong, pleaded guilty to obtaining access to a computer with dishonest intent, Coconuts Hong Kong reports.

Ms Kristiana posted a 17-minute video on her Facebook page in December, which was watched by about 700 people before a neighbour saw it and alerted the children's mother.

The mother identified the children in the video, a police report was made, and the video was deleted two days later, Apple Daily reports.

The domestic employee claimed she had uploaded the footage "by mistake", saying the children had taken the video themselves using her phone.

Principal magistrate Peter Law said the video was a breach of trust and an infringement of the children's privacy.

Ms Kristiana arrived in Hong Kong from Indonesia in 2016 and was employed to take care of the family's three sons and a daughter.

Seven-year old twins and a five-year-old boy appeared in the video but the eldest child, a nine-year-old boy, did not.
