Search on for one of two $20m Powerball winners yet to claim jackpot

A mystery Western Australian punter is set to collect a life-changing sum of money after one ticket scooped half of Thursday's $40 million Powerball division one jackpot.

The lucky player is due to claim $20 million after matching six winning numbers plus the Powerball.

A NSW player, who bought their ticket online, has claimed the other $20 million.

The winning numbers were 10, 17, 35, 40, 22 and 30 while 7 was the lucky Powerball number.

The monster prize pool was the result of a six-week jackpot in the weekly draw with the $20 million windfall WA’s biggest since March 2016.

There were 27 winners across Australia who claimed the rosy sum of $29,081.85 in division two while a further 142 took home $5,784.85 in division three.

Thursday's giant win comes after another sizable result for Western Australia when a South Guildford man scooped a $658,000 division one prize on Saturday.

This weekend’s draw sees a $20 million division one prize pool.
