Woman who has lost 22 babies said doctors told her she is healthy, just 'unlucky'

A woman who has lost 22 babies has said her harrowing pregnancy ordeal was dismissed by doctors as 'unlucky'.

Kerry Hutchinson, from the West Midlands, UK, has never given up hope despite burying three of her babies, held funerals for two, miscarried sixteen.

On March 5, the 35-year-old lost her twenty-second child and is now facing her fourth burial.

But despite her lengthy grievance, she said doctors wrote in a letter that her situation had just been "unlucky" and that she was healthy.

Ms Hutchinson has been left devastated with the response and has called for an explanation into the deaths of her 22 babies.

“I need answers to why all my babies have died," she told Birmingham Live.

With every setback the former model faced, including cervical cancer which doctors removed, her determination grew stronger and stronger to become a mother.

But after she was forced to bury baby Lucas, her third time in doing so, her and her partner's resolve broke.

“It broke my heart. I was devastated. In eight weeks I’d lost my son, my relationship, my house, my mortgage, my job, my mind – everything just completely fell apart," she recalled.

But after her initial devastation she picked herself up and became only the sixteenth person in the UK to be given a trans-abdominal stitch to help prevent pregnancy loss.

But more tragedy was to follow after conceiving once again with her new fiancé only to lose the baby at 22 weeks.

In the face of adversity, a brave Ms Hutchinson has vowed to carry on fighting.

“I will be a mum on this earth one way or another,” she said.

In a bid to help her succeed her one burning desire, a close friend has set up a Just Giving page to raise funds for possible IVF treatment and to "get the answers they deserve".

“I need to know why all these babies have died,” she said.

“I grew up in care myself so family is very important to me – it’s something I’ve always wanted to have."
