McDonald's launches new twist on iconic Big Mac for Aussie summer

McDonald's have released a new take on their iconic Big Mac burger just in time for the Australian summer.

Combining the 50-year-old Big Mac recipe with another Aussie favourite, the Big Mac BLT went on sale on Wednesday.

The new burgers are also being delivered via Uber Eats.

Jo Feeney, director of marketing for McDonald’s Australia, said she expects the creation to become a summer favourite.

“To help customers go full summer as the temperature rises, we’re pairing our iconic Big Mac with an Aussie favourite — the BLT — to serve up one of our classics with a twist,” Ms Feeney told News Corp.

“The Big Mac BLT is a Big Mac just as our customers know it, with the addition of fresh tomatoes and tasty bacon.

“We know Australians love to try new takes on our classic menu items and I’m sure the Big Mac BLT is going to be a hit. It’s definitely going to be a favourite of mine this summer.”

In an added bonus, McDonald's have also brought back their sweet mustard dipping sauce.
