Victim confronts video voyeur previously convicted of perving on women, chases him out of store

A young woman filmed the moment she confronted a convicted peeping tom, chasing him out of a clothing store after recognising him from a perverted incident two years ago.

Candice Spivey was shopping at a Target store located in Yulee, Florida when 31-year-old Jeffrey Polizzi approached her, holding a basket stocked with razors.

The young woman said she knew who Polizzi was even before he even opened his mouth and said he used "the same punch line" he had two years ago.

"(He said), 'Hey there I don't mean to bother you but I just bought this maxi dress for my wife and I was kinda worried about the sheerness of it'," she wrote in a Facebook post along with the video.

So she pulled her mobile phone out and asked Polizzi if he remembered her.

In the video, Polizzi can be heard saying: “You want to make sure it’s not too sheer or clear."

“Do you remember running into me in the grocery store?” Ms Spivey interrupts and asks Polizzi.

In that moment, Ms Spivey said she could see "shock" rush over his face and he started to run.

“Call the cops,” she shouts as the peeping tom drops his razors and sprints off.

After the young woman chased down and confronted the convicted prying observer, police were called and they arrested him for video voyeurism.

“I chase after his sorry a** because I wanted his tag info,” she said in the post. “I wanted this guy caught.”

According to Ms Spivey, Polizzi ran to a nearby McDonald's and she and staff members waited for him in the carpark for him to return.

He reportedly ran to his car, sped off and crashed into a police officer who was called to deal with the incident.

"So he comes running back, jumped in his truck, spun out of the parking lot and he just so happen to spin out onto A1A right in front of the cop that was coming to target for the incident," Ms Spivey wrote.

Polizzi then refused to get out of his truck and officers had to pull him out at gunpoint and he has so far only been charged with reckless driving.

The incident took place on April 26 and the young woman posted the video to her Facebook page which has been viewed over 2 million times.

Two years ago, Ms Spivey said the convicted offender approached her, while pushing two young boys in a shopping cart, while she was working at a Publix, a US supermarket.

She said Polizzi seemed like he genuinely needed help in buying a dress for his wife who had “put on weight after giving birth.”

But the conversation went from innocent to sleazy when started to ask her about undergarments and whether or not she was “wearing any panties,” while filming her on his own mobile phone.

It has been revealed the suspect has been charged with video voyeuism in the past.

Polizzi was arrested in 2009 on charges of video voyeurism and criminal mischief after being caught recording women in change rooms at a surf shop on Neptune Beach, WJXT reports.

He allegedly had a camera attached to his shoe and lowered it under the dressing room doors to pry on women changing.

Polizzi pleaded no contest to both charges.

According to the news station, police consider what Polizzi allegedly did in the store is not illegal, but it is disturbing.

Ms Spivey said the convicted pryer has approached minors also and it is a worry as to how far he could take the situation.
