Peeping tom dressed in schoolgirl uniform
A teenager has been arrested after being caught peeping into homes on the Gold Coast while dressed in a schoolgirl's uniform and wearing a blonde wig.
The cross-dressing teen ran from police but was chased down by a detective, and is now in custody being questioned.
Police said the 17-year-old had been seen acting suspiciously around several homes in Merrimac, including the home of a woman who was sexually assaulted while jogging on the Gold Coast last week.
Police swarmed on the scene with fears the woman could be under threat from last week's attacker, but Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Procter said they had not found any link yet between the 17-year-old and the sexual assault of a woman in the same area last week.
"For someone to dress up in a uniform and go through houses, he appears to be a stalker, however we have not been able to establish that link at this stage," Det Snr Sgt Procter said.
