Man tells flight attendants 'we're all going to die', insists he's not a terrorist, forces emergency landing

A man telling flight attendants “we’re all going to die” has forced an American passenger plane to make an emergency landing.

Passengers recorded the man’s arrest when the Alaska Airlines jet was forced to land at Denver, Colorado, over what the airport called a “possible passenger disturbance”.

The unidentified man was on flight 769 from Boston to San Diego when he allegedly became upset that flight attendants would not let him drink alcohol he had brought onto the plane.

Passenger Clair Conroy told NBC: "He got very belligerent, saying, 'OK, but you know that we are all going to die. I'm not a terrorist, but we're all going to die."

"He then started making threats at the passengers."

After efforts to calm the situation failed, the plane’s crew decided to divert the flight to Denver so police could intervene.

Video shot by another passenger, Rebecca Shepard, and posted to Twitter shows passengers applauding as the man is led off the aircraft by three law-enforcement officers.
