‘Wow, the smell’: Unusual reason Toyota driver pulled over

A driver has been pulled over after police noticed something odd in the back of their car.

Police stopped the driver behind the wheel of a Toyota Corolla in Waubaushene, in the Canadian province of Ontario, last week and tweeted a photo of their car.

Either the driver enjoys Budweiser or they are keen on recycling. It could possibly be both. Their back seats were seen filled with empty drink cans.

Police said the driver was charged with insecure load and drive while under suspension.

“Load was secured prior to departure,” police tweeted.

Police also explained there was a passenger in the car who had a driver’s licence. Presumably, they drove the secured cans away.

People on Twitter had mixed reactions to the can-toting driver.

“Looks like he can pay his ticket with his empty return,” one man tweeted.

Others reacted with revulsion.

“Wow, the smell from all those empties should have been enough for them to blow over 0.08,” another man tweeted.

“What the heck is wrong with people?”

Another man tweeted, “Just when you think you’ve seen it all”.
