Couple say ultrasound 'shows Jesus looking over their baby'
A couple in the US say when they saw an unexpected image in their baby's ultrasound picture it was a sign from above.
The pair, from Pennsylvania, claim they are not particularly religious, but they say they can see a man wearing a crown of thorns and a robe watching over their baby, according to Fox 43.
Alicia Zeek told the media outlet, "When they gave it to us ... Umm, to me, it's Jesus. And it looks like Jesus."
"This is distinct. I mean, there's another face looking at my daughter!" Ms Zeek's fiance Zac Smith said.
Ms Zeek experienced complications with her first two children. So this image put their minds at ease prior to their daughter's birth.
Mr Smith said he was speechless at first and didn't believe what he was seeing, but the couple have viewed it as a sign from above.
"The angel or God or Jesus, however you want to propose it, I look at it as my blessing," he said.
Ms Zeek's first child was born with two thumbs on one hand and she had complications during the labour of her second child who was then born with cleft lip and palette, Fox 43 reports.
"The second one nearly took her life, her son... Just hearing that I could lose them both during... the ... you know," said Mr Smith.
Following the ultrasound the technician assured the couple that their baby looked healthy.
Mr Smith said when he received that news after seeing the image he told his fiance not to stress.
Fortunately when the baby, named Briella, was born earlier this week she was healthy.
Mum and bub are said to both being doing well.
