UK reporter abused while reporting on harassment
This is the ironic moment that a reporter in the UK had a sexually explicit remark shouted at her as she was filming a story about harassment on the street.
BBC reporter Sarah Teale was reporting on the high levels of harassment and assault in downtown Nottingham on Friday, when she herself became a victim of abuse.
“An online study found a shocking 95 per cent of people said they had been harassed, either jeered or had obscenities shouted at them in the street," Teale was filmed reporting.
"And a large proportion said they had been groped or grabbed inappropriately in the street."
It was then, that a man walking by decided to hurl sexual obscenities at her.
“Yeah, like that,” the reporter replied, as she pointed towards the man.
Teale later told the BBC that she was “genuinely shocked” by the outburst: “It’s not banter, it’s not funny and no-one should have to put up with it.”

She also took to Twitter to inform viewers of the ironic incident, which demonstrated just how prevalent sexual harassment is in the region.
