Woolworths, Aldi and Coles among new Covid exposure sites
Several new exposure sites have been identified in NSW after the Covid-19 cluster grew by 35 infections on Saturday despite a week of lockdown.
Nine of the new cases were active in the community while infectious and the source of six are under investigation. Twenty-nine of the infections are linked to previously identified cases.
Saturday's daily cases were the highest recorded during the current outbreak.
Woolworths, Coles and Aldi identified as exposure sites
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Chief Health Officer Kerry Chant have urged people to avoid shopping centres and indoor spaces when purchasing essential items during lockdown.
"Please avoid shopping centres or indoor areas, that is where the virus is transmitting," Ms Berejiklian told reporters on Saturday.
Just hours after her comments, dozens of new Covid exposure sites were added to the growing list, including several stores and supermarkets.
Woolworths, Coles and Aldi stores have been flagged, as well as a Chemist Warehouse and Parramatta Westfield.
Anyone who is considered a "close contact" must immediately get tested and isolate for 14 days, regardless of the result.

Anyone who was at Bondi Junction Woolworths on June 28 between 9am to 9.15am and Parramatta Westfield on June 30 between 5.30pm to 6.15pm should should monitor for symptoms, and if they appear, immediately get tested and self-isolate until a negative result is received.
