Woman's $678K Lotto win after three-step superstitious ritual
A woman is now $678,000 richer has revealed her peculiar ritual she does every time she purchases a lottery ticket.
The Melbourne woman was one of nine first division winners in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw, with each of the lucky players winning $678,308.17.
The woman from Dromana was ecstatic about her win, having found out after just waking up.
“I can’t breathe. I only just woke up! I can’t believe this,” she said.
“I need to sit down and let this news sink in. This is such a wonderful surprise!”
She said she always joked about winning the lottery and was floored it actually happened.

The woman went on to explain she had a tradition of doing three things every time she purchases a lottery ticket, something she was told would bring her luck.
“I have this little tradition when I buy lottery tickets that I was told would bring me luck. It’s a lucky tradition!” she explained.
“I light a green candle, eat a piece of dark chocolate, and then I say, ‘I am lucky!’ and then I go and buy my lottery ticket!
“Now I really do feel lucky. This is phenomenal!”

The woman said the win is “life-changing” for her and her family.
“I am going to pay off the mortgage, buy a new car and help my family,” she said.
Owner of shop where ticket sold congratulates winner
The woman purchased her winning ticket at Dromana Hub Lotto, owner Janine Fancett said she was very happy for the winner.
“Last year we sold the $80 million Powerball entry at our other outlet, so we were hoping to sell a big one at this outlet this year,” Ms Fancett said.
“We are so happy for the winner and hope she can do something great with her prize.
“It was a really tough year last year, so I can imagine it came as a great surprise.”
The next chance Australians have to win big is on Tuesday, with Oz Lotto offering up $20 million.
