Wanted man found dead after accountant shot in head in office

A man wanted over the fatal shooting of an accountant in a Western Australian office has been found dead.

Police had been hunting 48-year-old Rodney Peter Vlahov after a man was shot in the head at close range at a Flores Street business in the Geraldton suburb of Webberton on Thursday afternoon.

Mr Vlahov's body was later found at a property in Chapman Valley, while a Landcruiser was also found in the Geraldton area, police said on Friday.

Police say his death does not appear suspicious.

"This ends a tragic sequence of events that will impact upon the Geraldton community," a police spokesman said.

"We want to thank the public for its support during this operation."

His death will be the subject of a coronial investigation.
