Older voters ditching Coalition for One Nation
New poll numbers show older Australians are ditching Malcolm Turnbull for Pauline Hanson.
A review of almost 7000 voters from previous Newspolls reveals a 10 per cent drop in support for the Coalition among voters older than 50 since the last election.
The trend has helped One Nation secure a primary vote of 10 per cent.
Labor is picking up just a fraction of the votes.
The Australian reports the One Nation leader is on course to gain victory in a lower house seat if she continues her current momentum.
Queenslanders are also ditching the Coalition harder than others with One Nation’s 16 per cent primary vote in the Sunshine State an indication of backlash against the major two parties.
