Swimming Emu Gives Beachgoers an Unforgettable Australia Day
Beachgoers had the most Australian experience near Shark Bay, Western Australia, when an emu casually swam next to them on January 26, Australia Day.
Perfect Nature Cruises deckhand Shayne Thomson captured the scene near Monkey Mia beach. Tourists told WA Today that the sighting was “more Aussie than if Crocodile Dundee had offered to buy them a beer.”
