Ice Jams Create Flooding Concerns in Connecticut

A local state of emergency was in place Monday, January 15, in Kent, Connecticut, after an ice jam triggered flooding along the Housatonic River. Flooding had also closed roads in the area.

Flood warnings were in place for the Housatonic and the Connecticut River because of concerns about forming ice jams, according to a news report.
