Timelapse Captures Fog Blanket in Meteora, Greece

A blanket of fog can be seen moving through Meteora, Greece, on December 1.

Meteora is a rock formation that is home to six different Eastern Orthodox monasteries. It was named a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) because of the region’s rich cultural history.

Minh Phan, a meteorologist traveling in Greece, captured the footage. Phan told Storyful, “Valley fog is common in and around these mysterious rock formations.” Credit: Minh Phan via Storyful
