Car Crashes Into Crowd of Protesters After Rallies Turned Violent in Charlottesville

A car was seen driving directly into a group of protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, on August 12, shortly after a neo-Nazi protest and counter-protest were dispersed as unlawful assembly by police.

At about 2:30 into the video, the car can be seen driving through a crowd on the street. The crowd was made up of counter-protesters against the neo-Nazis. The car rear-ended another; one person could be seen between the two bumpers and another person can be seen on the roof.

A state of emergency was earlier declared by Governor Terry McAuliffe. Charlotte Mayor Mike Signer reported one person was killed in the crash. Credit: Periscope/Faith Goldy via Storyful, Rebel Media
