Police Hunt Suspect Over Theft of Portland Train Stabbing Victim's Wedding Ring

Portland Police released a video on June 1 of a man suspected of stealing the wedding ring and backpack of Ricky Best, a victim of the May 26 Portland train stabbing.

The police are seeking the public’s help to identify the man, pictured in this footage. In a press statement the police said “The contents of the backpack include personal items important to the Best family.”

Best was one of two men fatally stabbed after they intervened when a man launched a racist rant at two women, one wearing a hijab, aboard a Portland Train. A third man, Micah Fletcher, was severely injured in the incident.

Portland Police charged Jeremy Joseph Christian with aggravated murder and attempted murder.
