Victim of horrific crash identified as loving mother-of-four

The woman killed in a horrific truck crash in Sydney on Wednesday has been identified as a mother of four.

Khristiee Jazairy, 44, from Sans Souci, was waiting for a bus to work on Botany Road, Alexandria, before a B-double truck veered into northbound lanes, hit pedestrians, a power pole, a bus stop and an abandoned building, police said.

The 44-year-old died at the scene. Witnesses say the southbound truck clipped a gutter, veered across oncoming traffic and hit a traffic light.

Both News Corp and Fairfax have identified Ms Jazairy as the woman killed in the crash.

It took hours for the mum’s body to be retrieved amid concerns the building could collapse on her.

Her former husband Baha Jazairy, who was married to her for 22 years and shared four children with her, told Fairfax she was “a lovely woman”.

“There’s not enough that can be said about her to be honest,” he told Fairfax.

“Everybody is devastated, shocked.”

He added she was a dedicated mother and loved her children.

Mr Jazairy also reportedly wrote on Facebook that, “no one will ever love you as much as I did”, News Corp reported.

“You have never left my heart, even after all these years,” he wrote.

“I hope you’re in a better place, looking out for our beautiful children.”

Her son Leon, 26, wrote on Facebook she will “always” be in his heart.

“Love you till eternity,” he wrote.

“My dearest mother, I will always love you.”

The 38-year-old truck driver told police he had a medical episode before the incident.

NSW Police Superintendent Andrew Holland said an investigation would rule on whether that was the case.
