Melbourne health workers storm out after bosses offer gingerbread men instead of pay rise
Hundreds of Melbourne pathology workers have stormed off the job, claiming their employer attempted to bribe them with gingerbread men.
The fed-up workers insist their employer offered the biscuits instead of a pay rise.
That is despite not receiving any substantial wage increase over the past 10 years.
“All other pathology companies are paying what our position is worth,” one worker told 7 News.
“Only Dorevitch are paying well under.”

The furious workers were filmed marching down the streets of Melbourne holding signs demanding a "fair bloody go".
Despite the fury of the staff, a company spokesperson said the strike caused minimal disruption to patients and services.
