Heart attack survivor's promise to life-saving neighbour

A heart attack survivor has made a life-long promise to his hero neighbour in return for saving his life.

Peter Hall, 67, owes his life to Dr John Johnson who rushed to his aid after he suffered a massive heart attack and collapsed at his home.

An ambulance was called and paramedics helped to stabilise Mr Hall, who had to undergo a life-saving quadruple bypass.

The grandfather-of-six is now fit and in good health.

As a token of gratitude, he has promised to mow his neighbour's lawn for the rest of his life.

Mr Hall is also walking 24 kilometres on March 3 to raise funds for the Box Hill and Austin Hospitals.
