Unvaccinated man's regret after disturbing Covid symptom
WARNING – DISTRESSING CONTENT: An ICU doctor in the United States has shared a horrific side effect an unvaccinated patient experienced after contracting Covid-19.
Dr Wesley Ely posted a photo of his patient's foot to Twitter, where they appear to have been severely affected by blood clots.
"My patient's toes on Covid," he wrote. "Patient told me, “I feel like I’m learning to breathe again and failing.”
"Imagine how bad his internal organs look now," he continued. "Covid-19 is no cold."
The Nashville doctor then went on to urge everyone to get vaccinated.
"My patient wishes so much he had gotten vaccinated," he added. "You have choices!"
In a comment, Dr Ely said the D-dimer, which is a protein fragment that's made when a blood clot dissolves in your body was “undetectably high”.
"[This is] no joke. Clotting like this in TOES bodes so badly for the brain, lungs, heart, etc," he wrote.
"Protect yourself. Seriously."

Covid takes woman's hands and feet
It's not the first time Dr Ely has seen the horrific effects blood clots from Covid can cause.
In October, the Nashville doctor tweeted a photo of a woman who had to have both her legs and feet amputated following complications with the virus.
Dr Ely went on to issue an emotional vaccine plea on behalf of his patient.
“She sent this of her walking with new legs and said to tell YOU…Blood clots of Covid can be prevented w a Vaccine!” he wrote.

Dr Ely also detailed how blood clots can occur after contracting Covid in a series of tweets.
“Covid19 is a disease of blood vessels that can affect your lungs, heart, brain, or any organ. Blood clotting sucks life from vital organs,” he began.
“This patient asked to have her story shared so that others may learn and seek vaccination.”
